Frequently Asked Rental Questions

I have my own boots. Can I just rent the skis?

Yes, but individually rented equipment will be same as set price.

If I take my own ski boots, can you adjust the ski for my boots?

For ski boots, provide your sole size (not shoe size), a 3 digit number (ex. 305mm) located on sole or side of your boots. For snowboard, provide your boot size. Binding will be adjusted accordingly.
Binding setting may vary depending upon delivery location. Please see below.

Courier Delivery Service

We deliver equipment with your binding adjusted to the sole size provided. You will be responsible to finalize your adjustment.

Staff Hotel Delivery

    Please bring your boots to the front desk and call our office at +81-11-624-8822 to request binding adjustment.

Self Pick-Up

Bring your boots when coming to the shop to pick up skis and ask for binding adjustment.

Can I change the size if the rental equipment does not fit?

Courier Delivery Service

We are unable to deliver alternate sizes. Confirm shoe size before ordering.
Boots are usually prepared slightly larger than size of shoes. Bring thick socks or layered clothing.

Staff Hotel Delivery and Self Pick-up

If other sizes are available during office hours, you can change. Try on the sizes immediately after receiving the equipment. Try using thick socks or layered clothing to help the fitting.

Can I change from ski to snowboard after starting rental service?

No changes accepted.

Staff Hotel Delivery and Self Pick-up

If we have the equipment available, you can change for a ¥2,000 change fee.

Can I extend my rental period?

Please contact us first.

Can I get a refund if I return my equipment earlier than planned?

Reservation cannot be cancelled after rental period starts and no refund for early return of equipment. In case of injury, see example below.
(Ex. Rental period 1st to 7th. Injury incurred and reported on the 3rd. Refund applies for 5th to 7th.)

What if the equipment is damaged or stolen?

Contact us first. After confirming, we may ask payment for any damage or loss incurred. Please see below for charges.

    -Damaged: 20,000 Yen
    -Lost: 30,000 Yen
  • Performance ski and snowboard:
    -Damaged: 50,000 Yen
    -Lost: 60,000 Yen
  • Boot: 15,000 Yen
  • Binding: 10,000 Yen
  • Poles: 3,000 Yen
  • Adjustable ski pole: 5,000 Yen
  • Snow suit: Lost/Damaged: 15,000 Yen
  • Helmet: 15,000 Yen
  • Binding part for snowboard (belt, ratchet) damaged: 1,000 Yen and up
Can I go to your Niseko shop to pick up and return?

Yes, it is possible. As we are located away from the ski resort area, please check the access in advance and visit us after making a reservation

Can I go to your Sapporo shop to pick up and return?

Yes. Our Sapporo shop is located about 5 minutes on foot from JR Soen Station, the next stop from Sapporo Station. Booking not required but choice of equipment may be unavailable so we recommend booking in advance.

Why can't you deliver equipment If I stay at Hilton Niseko Village or Hinode Hlls Niseko Village?

Due to hotel contact reasons we are unable to deliver or pick up equipment. For our customers who stay at these hotels, courier delivery is offered.

How do I pick up the rental equipment?

The procedure differs depending upon the area you are staying.

Courier Delivery Service

Our courier service Yamato Transport Co., Ltd. will deliver to your hotel the day before you arrive. Please check with the front desk for pick up location.

Staff Hotel Delivery

Equipment is delivered to your hotel prior to your rental start date. Check with front desk. Try your equipment. If change is required, contact us during office hours. Please note we cannot exchange the morning of your rental start date.

Self Pick-Up Customers

Please visit our shop for self pick-up during operating hours and ensure to arrive at least 30 minutes before closing time to process your rental.

Where can I try fitting?

Either at our shop or at your hotel upon delivery.

Is there a ski locker?

Check with your accommodation. Paid ski lockers are available at the ski resorts. Please check with them.

Do you offer ski lessons?

No, we do not. Please ask the ski resort.

Do you have a bus and ski lesson package?

No, we do not. For ski lessons, please ask the ski resort.

Do you have a bus and ski rental package?
Although we do not have a bus and ski rental package, we offer early online discounts for both when you book online.
Can I try on several sizes?

Can I rent even if I'm not staying at hotels?

Yes, if you self pick-up/return at our Niseko or Sapporo shop.
